Real Madrid are interested in bringing Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram to Bernabeu next summer, according to a report.

Real Madrid are reportedly interested in bringing Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram to Bernabeu.

The 22-year-old, who is the son of France legend Lilian Thuram and brother of Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram, was heavily linked with Liverpool during the summer transfer window, but he remained with his French club past the deadline.

The midfielder has again been an important player for Nice this season, featuring on 10 occasions in Ligue 1, while he has made 148 appearances for Les Aiglons since arriving from Monaco in 2019.

Thuram's current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2025, and Liverpool are still thought to be interested, but he has also been recommended to Real Madrid by agent Oscar Damiani.

"Khephren is a very technical player and plays all over the pitch," Damian told reporters.

"He has more class but less strength than his brother [Marcus Thuram]. Where would I see Khephren doing well? At Real Madrid. I recommended him to Carlo Ancelotti."

According to AS, Real Madrid are currently given serious consideration to moving for Thuram during next summer's transfer window.

The report claims that Los Blancos believe he would fit perfectly into their style of football, and the club are expected to be in the market for at least one central midfielder next year, with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos both set to move on.

Thuram could be the subject of big-money offers next summer, although Nice are not in a strong position to negotiate due to the fact that his deal has less than two years to run.

Midfield is an area of strength for Real Madrid, but the club currently have a crisis in that position, with Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni on the sidelines with long-term injuries.

Federico Valverde and Kroos have been regular starters this season and that is set to remain the case in the coming weeks, while Modric could also be given a run in the side due to the absentees.

Dani Ceballos is also expected back from a muscular injury this month, but Jude Bellingham is still a doubt for this weekend's La Liga clash with Cadiz due to a shoulder issue.

Real Madrid are already through to the knockout round of the Champions League, while they entered the international break off the back of a 5-1 win over Valencia in La Liga.

Ancelotti's side second in Spain's top flight, two points behind division leaders Girona.
