Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina could reportedly sign for Barcelona in an £8m move within the next two weeks.

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina could reportedly secure a return to Barcelona within the next two weeks.

The 30-year-old has been amid speculation that he could sign for the Spanish giants, despite publicly claiming that he is content with life on Merseyside.

It is believed that Reina's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon flew in for talks with Liverpool officials over the weekend and will open up negotiations with Barcelona over a potential £8m move, according to the Daily Star.

While Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are said to also be interested in Reina, reports have claimed that the shotstopper has promised the Reds that he will not sign for a rival Premier League team and is not keen on a move to France.

It has also been claimed that Reina has told the Merseyside outfit that he will sign a new deal at Anfield if a move to Barcelona fails to materialise.
