England manager Roy Hodgson will reportedly ask captain Steven Gerrard to postpone his international retirement, after Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers suggested that he may retire after the World Cup.
England manager Roy Hodgson will reportedly try and persuade captain Steven Gerrard to continue playing for the national side after the World Cup .
Gerrard's Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers recently claimed that the Reds' skipper would retire from international duty after next summer's tournament in Brazil.
However, it is thought that Hodgson will ask the midfielder to carry on for the Three Lions, according to the Daily Mail .
Gerrard will appear in his third World Cup if he plays in Brazil.
