David Silva says Manchester City can defeat Bayern Munich with their style of football.

David Silva has claimed that Manchester City can defeat Champions League opponents Bayern Munich with the right style of football.

City travel to Bayern tomorrow (Tuesday) in a Group A clash where a victory could see the Blues going top of the group.

Bayern have not conceded in goal in their last nine wins, but Silva believes that his team can break through the German defence.

"We can stick to our footballing principles," the Spanish international said.

"We don't have to change our style against other teams - home or away. We believe in what we are doing and have confidence in each other so we will keep doing the same things.

"Against Bayern Munich we will try to keep the ball, play with the same style and get a positive result."

Bayern Munich’s shutout now stands at 838 minutes.
