Manchester City will reportedly be handed stiff sanctions from UEFA for breaches of Financial Fair Play rules.
The Premier League club are understood to be in line for a fine of £50m, which will be paid over a three-year period.
City are also expected to see their Champions League squad reduced from 25 players to 21 for next season, according to PA.
The Blues would have to ensure that eight locally-trained players are included in that squad.
It is believed that the club is currently trying to negotiate the ruling, though the final decision will be handed to a non-negotiable panel if they fail to agree terms by the end of the week.
City are among two clubs who are due to be punished by UEFA, with Paris Saint-Germain also awaiting official confirmation of the sanctions that will be imposed upon them.
