Manchester City's Pablo Zabaleta suggests that the club will spend in the summer transfer window in order to keep the club moving forward.

Manchester City full-back Pablo Zabaleta has suggested that there could be departures and arrivals during the summer transfer window at the Etihad Stadium.

The 28-year-old has claimed that the changes made by owner Sheikh Mansour since he took over the club in 2008 will need to continue in order for City to thrive.

"Since 2008 the club has been changing players every year," The Independent quotes Zabaleta as saying. "There's only a few players left in the team from 2008 - me, Vincent [Kompany], Joe Hart and Micah [Richards]. But that is all part of the new era for Manchester City, we expect to continue to do better."

While the blue half of Manchester clinched the Premier League title in dramatic fashion last season, Roberto Mancini's men look unlikely to repeat that feat due to Manchester United's 15-point lead at the top of the table.
