Team News: Raheem Sterling to make Manchester City debut at West Bromwich Albion

Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling and West Bromwich Albion striker Rickie Lambert debut for their respective sides in their opening Premier League match.

Raheem Sterling and Rickie Lambert have been named in Manchester City's and West Bromwich Albion's starting XI respectively ahead of their Premier League opener at the Hawthorns.

Defender James Chester and winger James McClean, fellow new arrivals at the Baggies alongside Lambert, also start for the hosts, while centre-back Joleon Lescott is in defence against his former club.

Ex-Liverpool winger Sterling, a £49m summer acquisition, starts on the left side of a 4-2-3-1 formation, with the visitors giving striker Wilfried Bony the nod ahead of Sergio Aguero.

Meanwhile Eliaquim Mangala partners Vincent Kompany in central defence as the 2013-14 champions seek to start their season off with a bang.
