Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong is reportedly close to leaving the Premier League champions for AC Milan.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a switch away from the Etihad Stadium in recent months after an inconsistent campaign under manager Roberto Mancini.
It is understood that the 27-year-old is currently in discussions with Serie A giants Milan over a transfer before the close of the summer window on Friday, according to Sky Sports News.
Despite reports of an impending move, Mancini recently insisted that De Jong will be at the club this season.
