Scott Sinclair has arrived at Manchester City to undergo a medical ahead of his move from Swansea City.
The 23-year-old has been a surprise transfer target of Citizens boss Roberto Mancini, who is looking to replace the departed Adam Johnson.
After talks over the move had reportedly stalled earlier this week, the Premier League champions returned with a £6.2m bid.
This was deemed an acceptable figure by the Swans, with Sinclair having just one year left on his Liberty Stadium contract. City are confident of completing the transfer before Friday's 11pm deadline.
Meanwhile, Swansea have Spanish winger Pablo Hernandez lined up as a replacement, having already had a £5m bid accepted by Valencia.
