Manchester City could allow unwanted goalkeeper Joe Hart to leave on a free transfer ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, according to a report.

Manchester City could reportedly allow Joe Hart to leave on a free transfer ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The 31-year-old, who was left out of the England squad for the 2018 World Cup, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Torino and West Ham United respectively after being deemed surplus to requirements at City.

Hart has been involved in his team's pre-season preparations, but is again expected to leave this summer, with a price of £5m reportedly placed on the stopper's head.

However, according to The Times, the Citizens are now prepared to allow Hart to leave on a free transfer this summer in order to help him seal a move away from the Etihad Stadium.

The 75-time England international, who still has one year left to run on his current deal, started his professional career with Shrewsbury Town before joining City in 2006.
