Jadon Sancho finalises move to Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City

Manchester City announce the departure of 17-year-old Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City have announced that Jadon Sancho has completed a move to Borussia Dortmund.

The 17-year-old was said to be regarded as a bright prospect for the club, but he made it clear that he wanted to move on by reportedly refusing to sign a contract.

Numerous Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United, were understood to have registered an interest in the teenager, but he has opted to join the Bundesliga in Germany.

Sancho will wear the number seven shirt, which was recently vacated by Ousmane Dembele, who joined Barcelona for close to £100m earlier this week.

Sancho became part of City's academy in 2015 following a switch from Watford.
