Report: Swansea City keen on re-signing Wilfried Bony from Manchester City

Swansea City are weighing up a move to re-sign striker Wilfried Bony from Manchester City, according to reports.

Swansea City and Manchester City have agreed terms over the Welsh club's re-signing of Wilfried Bony, according to reports.

The 28-year-old left the Swans for the Etihad Stadium on a four-year contract in 2015 for a fee worth up to £28m.

However, he managed only eight goals in 46 appearances for Man City - more than half of which came as a substitute - and spent last season on loan at Stoke City.

According to Wales Online, Swansea have been given permission to open talks with the Ivory Coast star over personal terms should they want to press ahead with a deal.

The report also claims that Man City are desperate to get the striker off their wage bill, but whether the Swans can match his £130,000-per-week wages remains to be seen.

Bony was Swansea's record signing when he joined from Vitesse for £12m in 2013, though Borja Baston has since claimed the highest club transfer fee.
