Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez believes that his side are capable of competing with any team in the Premier League on their day.

Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has insisted that his side are a match for anyone in the Premier League.

The Blues are fighting on three fronts this season, with FA Cup and Europa League campaigns running alongside the battle for a top-four finish in the league.

Benitez believes that Chelsea's league form has suffered as a result of their bloated fixture list, but thinks that his side are still performing at a good level.

He told The Mirror: "We are stronger than a lot of teams. You can see this in the last few weeks. We played very good games and we won some of them.

"We can still play very good football and compete against anyone. [Manchester] United are at the top of the table but we were much better than them in the first game.

"So I think we can compete. The question is when you play two games in three days. It has been the same for four months maybe, it's not easy. I think we are doing well for the situation we have."

Chelsea continue a run of four games in eight days tomorrow with an FA Cup quarter-final replay against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
