Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Bournemouth

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's injuries and suspensions ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Manchester United travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday with a renewed sense of optimism.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, having failed to win an away game in almost six months, have claimed three consecutive wins on the road following a 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge in the EFL Cup.

However, they will be conscious of the fact that in Bournemouth they come up against rigid opponents who will not afford them an inch of space at the Vitality Stadium.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of this fixture.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

The Ivorian remains some way away from making a return to action having undergone surgery on a knee ligament injury over the summer.

Paul Pogba

Status: Out
Type of injury: Foot
Possible return date: Unknown

Solskjaer confirmed last weekend that Pogba's foot injury, sustained ahead of the September international break, was likely to keep him out until December.

Axel Tuanzebe

Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: Unknown

Tuanzebe suffered a hip injury while warming up ahead of the 1-1 draw with Liverpool and it remains unclear as to when he will return.

Nemanja Matic

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Bournemouth)

Solskjaer noted earlier this month that Matic has been hampered by an unspecified injury for some time, with the Serbian heading to Dubai last week to speed up his rehabilitation. It seems unlikely that he will make the squad on Saturday.

Diogo Dalot

Status: Ruled out
Type of injury: Groin
Possible return date: Unknown

The youngster has battled with a groin problem since pre-season and has not featured since prior to the October international break. It remains unclear as to when he might reach a full recovery.

Luke Shaw

Possible return date: November 2 (vs. Bournemouth)

Shaw also flew to Dubai last week to receive treatment on a thigh injury that has kept him sidelined since August. The defender probably lacks the match fitness to feature over the weekend.

Harry Maguire

Solskjaer confirmed after the Chelsea game that Maguire had picked up a knock but stressed that the Englishman would recover quickly.

Marcus Rashford
