The agent of Zinedine Zidane denies that his client is in line to replace Jose Mourinho as Manchester United boss.

The agent of Zinedine Zidane has firmly denied suggestions that his client is in line to replace Jose Mourinho as Manchester United boss.

Zidane has been heavily linked with the role at Old Trafford, with Mourinho's position far from secure following United's poor start to the 2018-19 campaign.

Zidane was said to be on standby to replace Mourinho at the helm, but the Frenchman's agent Alain Migliaccio has claimed that the United job 'does not appeal' to the former Real Madrid boss.

"He was tired on a nervous level," Migliaccio told Journal du Dimanche. "He's decided to take a year out and he won't go back on that. I don't think he's going to England, it's not his style.

"I've talked to him and the truth is that it doesn't appeal to him."

United recovered from two goals behind to beat Newcastle United 3-2 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
