Manchester United are reportedly considering making club legend Eric Cantona their latest ambassador.
Several notable former players are already on the United books in an ambassadorial role, including the likes of Bryan Robson and Denis Irwin.
The Mirror reports that the Red Devils' hierarchy are now discussing the possibility of adding Cantona to that list.
Should the Frenchman be appointed to the role then he would be expected to make personal appearances and be involved in roadshows.
Cantona is widely regarded as one of the most influential players in United's history, having joined in 1992 and helped the club to their first league title for 26 years in his first season.
The 53-year-old left Old Trafford in 1997 having won four Premier League titles and two FA Cups.
