Anthony Martial: 'I want to tear it up for Manchester United'

Anthony Martial insists that he is ready to "tear it up" for Manchester United this season after shrugging off problems he faced last term.

Anthony Martial has insisted that he is ready to "tear it up" for Manchester United this season after shrugging off the problems he faced last term.

Martial, who became the second-most expensive teenager in football when he signed for United from Monaco in 2015, has won the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the Europa League in his time at Old Trafford.

Despite his achievements, the Frenchman admitted that he faced problems off the pitch last season, but said that he has overcome his issues.

"I had some problems off the pitch [last season] that played in my head," Martial told teleFoot. "I wasn't really focused.

"But now when I go out onto the pitch, I want to tear it up. Some people forget my age. Given my talent, they expected me to explode earlier. But everyone has their own pace.

"With my club, I want to win as many trophies as possible, and with the national team I hope to establish myself in the first team and win the World Cup."

Martial scored in his side's 4-2 win over Watford on Tuesday night that saw the Red Devils keep pace with the Premier League's top four.
