Manchester United ace Alexis Sanchez: 'I left Arsenal for bigger club'

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez outlines his reasons for joining the club from Arsenal, insisting that he could not have arrived at a 'bigger' team.

Alexis Sanchez has insisted that he intends "to win everything" at Manchester United after arriving from Arsenal in a high-profile transfer last month.

The Chilean forward swapped clubs as part of an exchange deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan, having been allowed to enter the final six months of his Gunners contract.

After getting three appearances under his belt as a United player, including a goalscoring display against Huddersfield town last time out, Sanchez claims that he left Arsenal for the better as he is now at the "biggest club" in the Premier League.

"I think that Manchester United, since I was young - and I'm not just saying this because I'm here, I'm an honest guy and I never lie - I think it's the biggest club in England. That's what I think," he told Sky Sports News.

"There are lots of big clubs, and having played for Arsenal, they are also one of them. It's a huge club and I was there. But coming here, looking at the badge, I think United have to win everything because it's such a big club. The club crest says it all.

"I came here to win [things]. I left Arsenal because I wanted to develop and learn as a player, and get to experience a new club. Manchester United are a huge club on the global stage. I came here to win everything. Otherwise I wouldn't have come here."

United remain on course for silverware in the FA Cup and Champions League this season, with Huddersfield and Sevilla up next in the last 16 of the respective competitions.
