Louis van Gaal: 'We will challenge for Premier League title next year'

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes that his side will be better prepared to make a bid for the Premier League title next season.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal believes that the Premier League title race will be more competitive next season.

United currently sit 15 points adrift of leaders Chelsea, who could seal their fourth Premier League crown this weekend, but Van Gaal has revealed that he expects his team to be better prepared to mount a challenge next year.

The Dutchman told reporters: "This year, we have not challenged Chelsea but we are very close to second position.

"Chelsea are far above the other clubs. Next year it can be different. Next year we shall be better prepared."

United will move into third position in the standings with a win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening.
