Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic will return from sciatica for the club's reserves tomorrow night.

David Moyes has confirmed that Nemanja Vidic is due to step up his recovery from sciatica by turning out for Manchester United's reserve side at Crewe Alexandra tomorrow evening.

The problem forced the Serbian defender to miss the club's ongoing tour of the Far East and Australia, and he instead received treatment at United's training base in Carrington.

Manager Moyes has revealed that the captain should be among the squad that travels to the Alexandra Stadium after having recovered.

"Vidic is coming on well. If everything goes well, he'll play tomorrow evening at Crewe," he told reporters.

Moyes also admitted that the match has come too soon for Wayne Rooney, who is nursing a hamstring injury.
