Manchester United striker James Wilson has stated his readiness to make the most of a "great opportunity" at the club.
Wilson has featured in a handful of games this season following the sales of Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck in the summer, and the youngster said that he is looking forward to the challenge at Old Trafford.
He told the club's official website: "Obviously with those two going – Chicha (Hernandez) on loan and Danny getting a move to Arsenal – it's given me a great opportunity. It's going to be really important for me to get the minutes on the pitch.
"It was great being on the pitch with the players and getting involved [against Everton and Chelsea]. It was brilliant, getting on, it was great.
"It's great to be in contention with such names in the world of football as theirs. Obviously with the competition in training and even in the games as well, if I can just get a few minutes here and there, then hopefully I can get my chance further down the line."
Wilson was given his senior debut by Ryan Giggs last season, and scored twice against Hull City in a 3-1 win back in May.
