Gareth Bale is not fit to feature for Spurs in their clash with Manchester United at White Hart Lane.

Gareth Bale has been ruled out of Tottenham Hotspur's clash with Manchester United and White Hart Lane this afternoon.

Rafael van der Vaart also misses out for Spurs but Ledley King and Kyle Walker shake off injury worries to start.

With England captain from midweek Scott Parker suspended, Harry Redknapp names Sandro and Jake Livermore in centre midfield and shifts Luka Modric to the left wing.

For United, Danny Welbeck is preferred to Javier Hernandez in attack and will partner Wayne Rooney, who is fit to return after illness.

Paul Scholes also starts for the Red Devils, but Ryan Giggs is only named among the substitutes.

Tottenham: Friedel; Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Livermore, Sandro, Modric; Adebayor, Saha.

Man United: De Gea, Jones, Evans, Ferdinand, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Scholes, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.
