Gary Bowyer unsure over Michael Keane stay

Gary Bowyer admits that it is up to Manchester United whether or not Michael Keane returns to Blackburn Rovers next season.

Blackburn Rovers manager Gary Bowyer has hinted that he would like to re-sign loanee defender Michael Keane next season.

However, Bowyer has conceded that the decision will be left down to the 21-year-old's parent club Manchester United.

"The level of performances Michael has produced for us has been exceptional, but he's a Manchester United player and at the end of the season he's going to have to go back to Manchester United. So we'll have to see what the situation is there first and foremost," he told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

Centre-back Keane has scored three goals during his 12 outings for Rovers.
