Fulham insist that teenage prodigy Ryan Sessegnon will not depart Craven Cottage this month amid interest from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Fulham vice-chairman Tony Khan has insisted that teenage starlet Ryan Sessegnon will not be sold on this month despite heavy interest from the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

The 17-year-old left-back has caught the eye of Europe's elite clubs with his performances for the London side over the last year, with Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid also thought to be monitoring his development.

Several of the interested parties are said to have tested the water with tentative offers of around the £30m mark to the Championship side, who have remained adamant that he will remain at Craven Cottage for the foreseeable.

"As it's been the subject of a great deal of speculation, I'd like to announce that Ryan Sessegnon is staying with Fulham football club and will not be departing during this January transfer window," Khan told The Telegraph.

"Ryan is a very important part of the Fulham family, and we're grateful that he'll be with us as we fight to achieve promotion this season."

Sessegnon signed his first professional contract - a three-year deal running until 2020 - with the Cottagers last June.
