The Manchester United hierarchy are reportedly concerned that they could lose up to 10 first-team players should manager Jose Mourinho remain in charge.

Manchester United's board members are reportedly concerned that they could lose up to 10 first-team players if Jose Mourinho stays in charge until the end of the season.

Mourinho is rumoured to have fallen out with a number of different members of his squad so far this season, contributing to a tumultuous campaign both on and off the field.

A 3-2 comeback victory over Newcastle United on Saturday saw the Red Devils return to winning ways, but the Daily Mail reports that a host of players are still hoping to see Mourinho leave the club.

Paul Pogba's fallout with the Portuguese has been the most high profile dispute, with the France international eager to seal a move away from Old Trafford either in January or next summer should Mourinho stay in charge.

Luke Shaw is out of contract next summer and is understood to have no intention of extending his stay while Mourinho is still in charge, and the likes of David de Gea and Anthony Martial are also in similar positions - albeit with options in their deals which will allow United to trigger an extension.

Captain Antonio Valencia and Eric Bailly also face uncertain futures at the club, while Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Ashley Young and Phil Jones are all out of contract next summer.
