Manchester United 'could still beat Tottenham Hotspur to Tanguy Ndombele'

Manchester United are reportedly still keen to sign Tanguy Ndombele, despite Tottenham Hotspur seemingly being in pole position to sign the Lyon midfielder.

Manchester United are reportedly still contemplating an approach for Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele in the coming days.

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be close to signing the player, who has openly acknowledged that he is interested in a switch to the North London outfit.

However, the 22-year-old is not short of admirers, and L'Equipe claims that United may decide to lodge a formal bid for the player.

Spurs are allegedly prepared to pay £55m plus £9m in adds-ons, although Lyon are willing to sell to the highest bidder if Ndombele is torn over a move.

United are also in the market for Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes, while any decision regarding the future of Paul Pogba could benefit or hinder any move for Ndombele.
