Manchester United to move for Arsenal star Mesut Ozil?

Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Manchester United are reportedly keen to sign Arsenal star Mesut Ozil on a free transfer.

Like teammate Alexis Sanchez, there is no indication as yet that Ozil, who joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in 2013, will pen fresh terms at the Emirates beyond the expiration of his contract at the end of the season.

According to The Independent, United will aim to hold talks with the midfielder in January when he is free to talk to clubs about a potential summer transfer.

It is believed that manager Jose Mourinho feels that he can persuade Ozil to move to Old Trafford due to the pair's previous relationship at the Bernabeu.

Both moved to the Spanish giants in 2010 and left three years later.
