Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez has admitted that he is desperate to join Valencia in the January transfer window.
The Argentine has been strongly linked with a move to Los Che in recent months, but a deal is not yet in place.
"It's clear that I would like to play there. It's a very important club in European football," the 28-year-old, whose current Benfica deal runs until 2018, told Canal Siete.
"But I don't like to talk too much about another club because I still represent Benfica. There is nothing confirmed although a lot of things have been said in the media. I was sold to Valencia a year ago [according to them]."
Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Perez in the winter.
