Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly already identified the first two players that he would want to bring to Manchester United during next summer's transfer window.
The Argentine is believed to be Man United's number one choice to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a long-term basis, but the club night have to wait until the end of the season to bring the Paris Saint-Germain manager to Old Trafford.
According to La Razon, Pochettino is desperate to bring Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier to the Red Devils ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
Trippier was strongly linked with a switch to Old Trafford over the recent transfer window, but Man United could not come to an agreement with Atletico over a transfer fee.
Meanwhile, Pochettino is said to be eyeing a deal for Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde, who was linked with Chelsea over the summer.
Sevilla are allegedly not open to selling the Frenchman in January but could allow him to leave during next summer's transfer window.
Michael Carrick is currently in charge of first-team affairs at Old Trafford and led the team to be a 2-0 win over Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
