Report: Manchester United preparing moves for Jordi Alba, Alexis Sanchez

A report claims that Manchester United have stepped up their interest in Barcelona pair Jordi Alba and Alexis Sanchez.

Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in Barcelona pair Jordi Alba and Alexis Sanchez.

Alba, 25, was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League outfit during his time with Valencia, but he made the move to the Camp Nou in 2012.

Despite his standing as one of the best left-backs in world football, there are suggestions that Barca could be tempted into a sale.

Sanchez, meanwhile, scored 21 times last season, but it is understood that the Spanish outfit are also open to the possibility of selling the Chilean international.

According to Marca, United have made their interest known and are prepared to bid £40m in an attempt to land the duo.

However, it is understood that Barcelona are holding out for a higher sum.
