Defender Luke Shaw is reportedly expecting to remain at Manchester United until at least the end of the season.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly indicated that he will keep Luke Shaw at Old Trafford until at least the end of the season.

Shaw has struggled with a number of injuries since his move to the North-West and until recently, the left-back was considered out of favour by Mourinho and United were keen to bring in a replacement in January.

However, according to The Mirror, talks between the pair have led to Shaw expecting to remain a part of Mourinho's squad for the second half of the campaign.

Since the start of December, Shaw has successfully come through six matches - all from the starting lineup - and the England international is likely to be used on a regular basis, with Mourinho having to contend with injury issues in his first-team squad.

The Portuguese continues to remain keen on making a high-profile addition on the left side of defence, but moves for the likes of Danny Rose and Ryan Sessegnon will likely wait until the summer.
