Tottenham Hotspur lead the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier on a free transfer, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly leading the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain defender Thomas Meunier.

The Belgium international's contract with the French champions is due to expire at the end of June, and it is understood that he will leave Thomas Tuchel's side on a free transfer.

Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with the 28-year-old, but according to Le Parisien, Spurs are currently in pole position to sign the right-back.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is believed to have personally contacted the Belgian to discuss a potential move to North London ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Meunier has made 27 appearances for PSG during the 2019-20 season, while he has won three league titles during his time at the Parc des Princes.

Mourinho's team are also allegedly interested in signing Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic during this summer's transfer window.
