Half-Time Report: Morecambe lead at the break

Morecambe lead Oxford United 1-0 at half time thanks to Kevin Ellison's header.

Morecambe have taken a 1-0 lead in at half time against Oxford United in League Two.

Kevin Ellison gave the home side the lead six minutes before the break when he headed in from close range into the roof of the net.

Earlier in the game Ellison had gone close with another header, but his 26th-minute effort was too high to trouble the goal.

Carlton Morris and Tom Newey both had efforts for the visitors but they both went over the bar prior to the opening goal.
