Bert van Marwijk believes that the Netherlands are stronger now than in 2010.

Netherlands boss Bert van Marwijk has said that his side are stronger now than in the 2010 World Cup.

Van Marwijk, who took the Dutch to the final in South Africa, was unable to steer his side past European champions Spain. However, after beating Northern Ireland 6-0 in Amsterdam, he insists that his team have come far.

"Our execution is getting better," he said.

"There were some good attacks and great goals on show. We should not get ahead of ourselves, but we are on the right track.

"We are now stronger in wide areas and also stronger than we were during the World Cup."

The Dutch kick off Euro 2012 against Denmark on June 9.
