Sports Mole previews Saturday's Major League Soccer clash between New England Revolution and Austin FC, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

New England Revolution will be looking to make it four league wins on the bounce when they welcome Austin FC to Gillette Stadium on Sunday.

On the other hand, the away side make the journey to Foxborough seeking to end an abysmal run of five straight defeats across all competitions.

New England Revolution saw off the threat of New York Red Bulls courtesy of a 1-0 victory when the teams went head-to-head on Thursday.

Giacomo Vrioni opened the scoring right on the half-hour mark, and that was enough to secure all three points for Bruce Arena's men in a tight affair.

As a result, the Revs remain second in the Eastern Conference of the MLS table, albeit still a whopping 11 points off division leaders FC Cincinnati.

Next up is the first-ever meeting against an opposing outfit who are still finding their feet in the top flight, having only just made their debut in 2021.

Off the back of seven straight wins in front of their fans, Sunday's hosts have established themselves as a real force to reckon with on home turf.

Austin FC came away empty-handed from a third league game running in a 2-1 defeat against Seattle Sounders at Q2 Stadium on Thursday.

Josh Wolff's men fell behind to Jordan Morris's opener in the early exchanges of the second half before hitting back through Sebastian Driussi, only for Albert Rusnak to grab the winner in the final minute of normal time.

With 32 points from their 26 matches so far, the Oaks sit 10th in the Eastern Conference standings, three points behind automatic playoff contention despite playing a game more.

Having let in nine goals across their last three outings away from home, Sunday's visitors will need to keep things tight at the back to stand any chance of coming away with a positive result here.

Team News

New England Revolution's Dylan Borrero is currently sidelined with a knee injury, while Henry Kessler misses out through a muscle problem.

The home side will also be without the services of Lucas Maciel, who has not featured in over seven months due to a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Following his winner last time out, Giacomo Vrioni has now netted four times in his last five matches, making the Albanian one to keep an eye on here.

Defender Zan Kolmanic is a guaranteed absentee for Austin FC this weekend as he continues to battle with a long-term knee problem.

Daniel Pereira is eligible to feature for the away side once again, having served a one-game suspension against Seattle Sounders last time out.

New England Revolution possible starting lineup:
Edwards; Polster, Gonzalez, Romney, Sweat; Harkes, Kaye, C. Gil; N. Gil, Chancalay, Vrioni

Austin FC possible starting lineup:
