Loic Remy: 'Newcastle United can make Champions League'

Loic Remy says that Newcastle United are capable of qualifying for next season's Champions League.

Loic Remy is certain that Newcastle United can qualify for the Champions League this season.

The French striker, who is on loan at St James' Park from Queens Park Rangers, has scored eight goals in 10 Premier League appearances for the club, helping the Magpies to eighth place in the table.

Newcastle last took part in the Champions League back in 2003, but Remy feels that the club may not have to wait too much longer before returning to the competition.

"At the end of the season we can maybe reach the Champions League," Remy told reporters. "We know we have quality and that we can do it."

Newcastle host West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
