Newcastle United have reportedly insisted that midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is not for sale, amid interest from other Premier League clubs.
West Ham United were understood to be keen on the former Liverpool man, but Sky Sports News reports that Newcastle will reject any offer that comes in for the 25-year-old.
Shelvey has made 18 Premier League appearances for the Magpies, scoring one goal. The midfielder, who moved to the North-East from Swansea in 2016, has also featured in the Championship for Newcastle.
West Ham are allegedly interested in other midfield targets this month, including Fulham's Tom Cairney and Anderlecht's Leander Dendoncker.
The Hammers announced the loan signing of Joao Mario from Inter Milan on Friday.
