Danny Simpson is reportedly keen to stay at Newcastle United, despite an issue over his new contract.
The 25-year-old, who will be a free agent at the end of the season, has yet to sign a new four-and-a-half-year deal with the club.
Simpson was thought to have stalled over a problem with the payment structure of the fresh terms, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.
However, the defender hopes that the issue can be resolved so that he can play for the Magpies next season.
Aston Villa, Fulham and Queens Park Rangers have all been linked with a move for Simpson in recent weeks.
