Sepp Blatter 'writes to FIFA associations reiterating innocence ahead of hearing'

Sepp Blatter reportedly writes to all FIFA member associations reiterating his innocence ahead of Thursday's ethics committee hearing.

Sepp Blatter has reportedly written to all FIFA member associations reiterating his innocence.

The outgoing FIFA president is currently serving a 90-day suspension over allegations of a "disloyal" payment made to UEFA chief Michel Platini in 2011.

On Thursday, the Swiss businessman is due to stand before the FIFA ethics committee, where he is expected to escape a lifetime ban but could be suspended for up to seven years due to a conflict of interest.

According to Sky Sports News, Blatter has written to all of the member associations declaring his innocence ahead of the hearing.

Platini will have his hearing on Friday.
