The Premier League has no plans to introduce goal-line technology next season, the FA confirms.

Goal-line technology will not be used in the Premier League next season, Football Association general secretary Alex Horne confirmed earlier today.

However, Horne has revealed that tests into the accuracy of various systems could be finalised in time for the 2013/14 campaign.

"I think that'll be too late for season 12/13," Horne told the Leaders in Football conference in London.

"I think it'll be 13/14 because there's then a big capital decision-making process for any league or any competition who want to apply it."

FA chairman David Bernstein also admitted at the conference that there was "very little chance" of convincing FIFA and UEFA to extend technology beyond goal-line systems.
