Rochdale appoint John Coleman as new manager

Rochdale have named John Coleman as their new manager after coming to an agreement with Accrington Stanley.

John Coleman has become Rochdale's new manager after the League One side reached an agreement with Accrington Stanley.

Dale made an official approach to the League Two club on Sunday for the services of the 49-year-old coach.

Chris Beech, who has been acting as caretaker manager since Steve Eyre departed the club in December, will make way for the Liverpudlian.

Dale are currently in 23rd place in the league, just four points above the relegation zone.

Coleman will face the media in a press conference at 2pm today.
