Neil Adams denies Sebastien Bassong problem

Norwich City manager Neil Adams says that there is "no issue" between himself and Sebastien Bassong, after dropping the defender for their defeat against Fulham.

Norwich City manager Neil Adams has refuted claims that there is a problem between himself and Sebastien Bassong.

The defender was dropped from the Canaries squad for their 1-0 defeat against Fulham this weekend, but Adams has made it clear he still has an important part to play.

"There's no agenda there," Sky Sports quotes him as saying. "I've told Seb I'll need him - that might be in the next game or the game after, I don't know, but he is a big part of this team.

"I just felt from what I've seen and the set-up that Fulham have, I thought Russell Martin and Michael Turner would be best suited.

"Seb is a fantastic player - he knows he's the team captain and he still is, there's no issue there."

Norwich have lost their last three games in the Premier League and have slipped to 17th place in the table.
