Norwich manager Paul Lambert heaps praise upon his side's second-half performance against Fulham, despite losing 2-1.

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has hailed his side's second-half performance in their 2-1 defeat to Fulham as "immense".

The Canaries found themselves two goals down within 13 minutes, but Lambert believes that the way his side got back into the match after the early setback should fill his players with self-belief.

"We should have got something, we were immense in that second half. You can't give teams a two-goal head-start. It is a mountain to climb from there but the response was absolutely terrific," said Lambert.

"We went about it and tried to retrieve the game and the second half I thought the lads were excellent. They were poor goals to concede on our behalf. When you lose a goal really early it is the worst start you can get.

"There was another one not long after but after that, while we had given ourselves a lot to do, the performance in the second half especially was excellent. The great thing for me is that we never capitulated, which can happen when you lose two goals as early as that and being a young team."

Norwich currently sit 12th in the Premier League table, level on points with today's opponents.
