Norwich City sign Sheffield Wednesday forward Jordan Rhodes on loan deal

Norwich City announce that they have signed Sheffield Wednesday forward Jordan Rhodes on a season-long loan deal.

Norwich City have revealed that Jordan Rhodes has left Sheffield Wednesday to sign a season-long loan deal at Carrow Road.

Rhodes endured a frustrating campaign at Hillsborough last season, with just five goals being scored from 31 appearances in the Championship.

That has resulted in the Owls allowing the Scotland international to leave on a temporary basis, with the 28-year-old now spending the next campaign in East Anglia.

Rhodes told the club's official website: "The move took its time in the end but now that it's finally happened, it's a real pleasure to be here. It's a fantastic football club with a great fanbase and if I play a few games this season, it will be a pleasure to do so.

"I'm looking forward to getting settled and starting up and playing a few games with the team. I'm really looking forward to pulling on the yellow and green jersey.

"It's a sell-out every week and there are a few familiar faces here that I already know. They've made me feel really welcome already."

Rhodes's first experience of professional football came at Norwich's rivals Ipswich Town, with 10 substitute outings being made at the Tractor Boys.
