Former England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce has reportedly turned down an opportunity to become Nottingham Forest's new manager.
The ex-Forest captain was tipped as the frontrunner by chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi earlier this week.
However, it is understood that after talks with the Championship club, Pearce has decided against taking on the role as he believes that it is not the right timing for him, according to Sky Sports News.
Forest have been linked with a number of coaches, including Malky Mackay and Gianfranco Zola, since they opted to sack Billy Davies on Monday.
