Lucas Digne: 'Paris Saint-Germain qualification in Coupe de la Ligue crucial'

Lucas Digne says that Paris Saint-Germain's progress to the last four of the Coupe de la Ligue can help them in other competitions.

Lucas Digne believes that Paris Saint-Germain's progress to the Coupe de la Ligue semi-finals can benefit the club in other competitions this season.

The Ligue 1 champions, who are also through to the knockout stages of the Champions League, beat Bordeaux 3-1 at the Stade Chaban-Delmas on Tuesday night to reach the last four.

"We qualified and that's the most important thing," Digne told the official club website. "We have continued our good run and that bodes well for the future.

"We did the hardest part by opening the scoring and we showed our confidence and strength by scoring late on. We showed we have great mental strength.

"I am always confident. I fight very hard to get as much playing time as possible and I work at training every day to give the coach as many selection headaches as possible!"

PSG host Nantes in Ligue 1 in their next game on Sunday.
