Charlie Austin eases injury fears

QPR top scorer Charlie Austin reveals that the injury he picked up against Southampton is not as bad as initially feared and will sideline him for only two weeks.

Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin has revealed that the injury that he picked up in yesterday's defeat against Southampton will keep him out of action for no more than a couple of weeks.

It was initially feared that the Englishman could be ruled out for the remainder of the season, although, having undergone a scan this afternoon, he has moved to play down these concerns.

The 25-year-old took to Sportlobster to say: "Scan done. Delighted to say I've NOT broken a bone in my foot! Hopefully back in a week or two!"

Austin, who has 13 goals to his name so far this campaign, will sit out Tuesday night's trip to Sunderland.
