QPR defender Christopher Samba reacts to criticism on Twitter regarding his £100,000-a-week wages, after two of his mistakes help Fulham record a 3-2 victory over the Hoops at Craven Cottage.

Christopher Samba has responded to Queens Park Rangers fans who have criticised the three-figure salary and large transfer fee that surrounded his move to Loftus Road.

The defender joined the Hoops from Anzhi Makhachkala in January for a club-record £12.5m fee and reportedly signed a £100,000-a-week contract with the Londoners.

Samba was at fault for two of Fulham's goals during QPR's west London derby defeat on Monday and was thus the subject of money-related abuse on Twitter.

However, the 29-year-old has insisted that his Rangers salary is irrelevant to his level of performance and encouraged the club's supporters to get behind the team.

He tweeted: "All you keep talking about 100 k performance, tell me what is a 100k performance? We as players go out and give our all. We do are best every week, what I get payed has nothing to do with any of you, as for my price tag I didn't put a price on my head, grow up pls.

"U all moan about players and wages, but we don't just entertain u we entertain millions around the world, with out us what would u tweet about

"We play this sport as players that we love but also is a job,we keep millions happy on a sat,we get payed to entertain u all. Just some most then others hope u understand, fed up with the money tweets get over it and support the team, good nite."

Samba had previously tweeted an apology for his mistakes made during the match at Craven Cottage.
