Owner Craig Whyte denies claims from director Dave King that Rangers are likely to go out of business.

Rangers owner Craig Whyte has dismissed claims from director Dave King that it is "inevitable" that the club will be liquidated.

The club are currently in administration and King believes that there is a real danger of them going out of business.

However, Whyte remains confident that a buyer will be found in the near future.

"There is absolutely no necessity for Rangers to go into liquidation, I believe we will come out of administration by way of a CVA that is in the interest of all the stockholders," Whyte said in a statement.

Redundancies are expected to be at Rangers later this week.
