Craig Whyte says that he will walk away from Rangers with nothing if it is for the good of the club.

Glasgow Rangers owner Craig Whyte has told the Ibrox faithful that he will walk away with nothing if it is for the good of the club.

The Gers are currently in the hands of administrators, who are battling to save the club from oblivion.

A number of bids have been submitted for the club and Whyte has said that he will help the administrators in any way possible.

"I am still the owner, but I am willing to walk away if it is for the good of the club," said the 40-year-old. "I wouldn't make anything out of it. I have £30m in cash and guarantees on the line but I would walk away if it is best for Rangers.

"I have been in touch with a couple of bidders. If I can help them, I will."

Whyte bought the club from Sir David Murray last year.
